RVC LEADERSHIP ALIGNMENT WORKSHEET
It is important to RVC Staff and Elders that volunteer leaders and shepherds have a healthy alignment with the beliefs and statements of our church. We know that this alignment will never be perfect since we will likely have some differences of opinion in lesser doctrines and practices. However, all of the core doctrines and many of the "additional" doctrines do matter to us greatly. And we want to have an upfront awareness of what potential volunteers believe about these things. We believe it is healthy to strive for leadership unity in our beliefs and ministry philosophy/strategy. More importantly is the responsibility we have before God to hold to and teach "sound doctrine" (Titus 1:9, 2:1, 2 Tim 4:1-4) - all of this for the glory of God and the protection of His church. Additionally, we believe reading and knowing these statements will be very beneficial for your own spiritual development in these important Biblical and doctrinal areas. We trust you will find the reading valuable as our Pastors and Elders have spent many hours over the years studying and preparing these statements.
